Surfing 101: Catching Your First Wave in Guanacaste
Guanacaste is a beginner surfer's paradise. Consistent waves, warm water, and beautiful beaches make learning feel less like a chore and more like vacation.
What to expect: Day one is exhausting. Your arms will feel like wet noodles, you'll eat more salt water than you planned, and you'll fall off the board approximately 847 times. This is completely normal. Day two is slightly less brutal. By day three, you'll catch some genuine waves.
Lessons matter. Our surf instructors break down the technique, position your body correctly, and most importantly, build your confidence in the water.
Realistic expectations: You won't be shredding like a pro after a lesson. You will, however, stand up on a board and ride an actual wave. That feeling of catching momentum and gliding across water? That's why people travel thousands of miles to learn surfing.
